Seedy Njie signs one-year contract with Southend United:: Gambian striker Seedy Njie has signed his first professional contract at English League Two side Southend United, Gambia Sports Online can confirm. The 18-year-old striker, who played twice for the first team last season, has put pen to paper on a 12 month deal at Roots Hall. He was spotted by the League Two club when he played against them during a trial for Arsenal and was taken on by the under-15’s before going on to play for the under-18s.
