Senior Nurse – (RMN) – CAMHS Senior Nurse (RMN) - CAMHS - Edinburgh - Salary From £ 27,000 You will be a Registered Nurse - Mental Health (RMN), ideally with experience working in a CAMHS environment - looking for a career working for one of the leading health care providers of mental health services in the UK. As part of a multidisciplinary team, and under the line management of the Charge Nurses, you will have responsibility for the nursing contribution to the multi-disciplinary assessment of need and delivery and evaluation of programmes of care ensuring delivery of high quality care to patients, including offering clinical direction and support to Staff Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. This is an amazing chance to join a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to providing high levels of care within a hospital that provides care for children and adolescents with mental health illnesses or eating disorders. As a Senior Staff Nurse (RMN) you will: - Operate as the allocated nurse key and/or co-worker and meet with patients regularly to undertake specific pieces of clinical care as identified by the patient, the nursing assessment and the multi-disciplinary team. - Identify and report observed changes in the patients physical/psychological needs through continued risk assessment, taking appropriate action where necessary. - Work proactively with the Charge Nurse to deploy the nursing resource safely and efficiently across the shift. - Undertake CPD activities with registered and non-registered nursing staff. - Organise own and others workload to ensure that the interests of patients / carers are met. - Demonstrate mentorship and management skills of junior nursing staff. - Proficient in the expansion of practice specific to a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Service in accordance with Healthcare Improvement Scotland, Mental Welfare Commission and QNIC. As a Senior Staff Nurse (RMN) you will have: - Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) Qualification - Excellent team working skills with ability to work using own initiative. - Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills are essential. - Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team. - Effective time management skills.
