Seoul to reduce subway operations in summer to save energy The Seoul municipal government said Monday it will cut down subway operations in the summer months as part of efforts to save energy amid concerns over a power shortage following the recent shutdown of nuclear reactors. 서울시내 전 지하철, 7∼8월에 12.5% 감축 운행 서울시내 모든 지하철 노선이 절전을 위해 7∼8월에 12.5% 감축 운행한다. 이 계획에 따르면 우선 다음 달 1일부터 두 달간 오전 10시부터 오후 5시 사이에 지하철 운행 간격을 최대 1분 연장하는 방법으로 하루 평균 운행 대수를 1천50대에서 919대로 12.5% 줄인다.
