Several have been asking about updates on the search for our daughter, Heather Weaver. It seems that Dallas police have hit an impasse, which isnt unusual in cases like these. We have learned that they get about 100 cases like this a day - people just dropping off the grid and not informing their friends or relatives. While it is distressing to friends and family, it is not against the law for a person to do this. This is apparently what Heather has done, and until the point that she decides that she wants to make contact with us, there isnt much anyone can do. Her dad, and Steph and I are making peace with that right now and weve all made a conscious decision that we must move on with our lives. We cannot express our gratitude enough for all the expressions of love and support that weve received and that we know we will continue to receive. And please, when you remember, breathe a prayer for our Heather, for she must be in a lot of pain to have made the choice that she did.
