Several years ago I bought a Crock Pot brand crock pot. When I went to use it a few weeks ago I noticed that the cord was cracked and the copper wires were showing, right at the strain relief as it entered the unit. Mr. Safety here decided not to use it and just replace the cord. I went online to the company to find the cord. The only replacement part they had was a new cover....not much help. I wrote to the company explaining I needed a new cord. I was told that I needed a receipt to get it under warrantee. I told them that it was out of warrantee and I just wanted a new cord and I was will to pay for the cord and shipping. Instead, they told me they did not want a customer replacing such a part, and sent me a brand new Crock Pot! Good customer service!
