Sight-seeing along Than Lwin (Salween) River!!! Than Lwin River plays an important role together with uprising pride of Kayin State. Most of people resided along this famous historical river have survived with natural resourses created by Than Lwin naturally for many decades. In recent years, sight-seeing along Than Lwin with a boat is really popular among travellers to Hpa An and it is really cost-effective, i.e, boat rental cost is 8,000 MMK per hour. The check-point for hiring a boat is just beside Shwe Yin Hmyaw Pagoda, situated immediately on the bank of river, Than Lwin, which is also the start of the name of Hpa An. Along the river with the boat, backpackers can feel the beautiful breath-holding scenarios of river life, fishermans, crop fields, mountains, sunset and hardshipness of struggle for life, honesty and pride of native Karen people. It is really worth a try to float along this river with a boat for every backpackers travelling in Kayin State!!! #BIM
