Sikkim Government announces Unemployment Allowance; GCI Sheets and ration for Voters’ Card Holders Gangtok, October 21, 2013: The Sikkim Democratic Front Government takes pride to introducing large number of welfare schemes and programmes that includes welfare of children and aged citizens of the State. The Chief Minister, Shri Pawan Chamling, has always remained consistent with his commitment to serve the people of Sikkim at all times. This time, the direct beneficiaries additionally would be the educated youths of Sikkim. By introducing the unique initiative to grant Unemployment Allowance to the educated youths, Shri Chamling has found certain measures to support the youths of Sikkim. All those who have passed Class X and holding diploma holders remaining unemployed are eligible for the allowance.
