Silent Night was the song that the armed forces were singing at - TopicsExpress

Silent Night was the song that the armed forces were singing at the same time in French, English and German during the Christmas truce of 1914. It was the only song soldiers on both sides of the frontline were familiar with. The remarkable Christmas truce was observed for a few hours up to even a few days. A time for the soldiers to collect their thoughts, exchange gifts or organise a game of football. Our Stille Nacht is not about the war, but about the festival ( Festival Stille Nacht ) that we will be taking to 3 venues in the Netherlands. We will turn this into a fraternization effort and will do our utmost to give you all a nice, lovely evening, so we hope you will be there in great numbers. Youre welcome with mulled wine or without, as long as youre there! Underneath our duyster Session version of #Harlaz as a warm-up!
