Since last year Ive been trying my best and working and organizing events and things to do in Mullens. Ive also tried to help everyone I could whenever I could. Its what Ive chosen to do regardless of naysayers and it makes me happy. Of all the things Ive done the only one Ive had legitimate concerns about is REBEL-PALOOZA. When Todd Weis came to me with his idea about a music festival I thought it was a great idea. It just so happened it fell into place that it would be a fundraiser for youth football in Mullens, and that made it even better. I ran with the idea, and soon I was feeling I personally ran too far. I honestly was worried and scared. The booking of acts, lighting and sound, jump house, the pool, other hidden expenses were piling up. I didnt have the means to support the big event we wanted to do. Thats why I had the meeting at Second Street. We all met as a group of friends and all the football league officials and discussed costs. Could we make enough money to cover the event and still make money for the kids in the league? As a collective group we decided that no matter what if we broke even we all will have fun and it would be a great time in the community. I agree, and I know God will not let a good thing go bad, but I dont want to break even. I want the league and ultimately the kids to succeed. Saying all this I want to say now its all okay. Someone has intervened and made it all okay. He is not only a friend of mine, hes a successful business man, a family man, and hes also running for State Senate. Jeff Bubblegum Mullins, his Senate campaign and his business EIN ( The Employers Innovative Network) has become the corporate sponsor for REBEL-PALOOZA. He stepped up made sure that going into the event that everything is covered, and we will begin everything at zero. Everything brought in will be profit for the league. Thanks to Bubble and his contributions we now owe no one, and the kids will profit from all he has done. When Ive talked to him in the past he said he appreciated me because I wasnt self-serving, but community minded. He is the same. The things Jeff Mullins has done in and around the community ( either advertised or not) should be brought to the forefront. I just wanted to use this personal post of mine to thank Bubble for what he has done in the community so far, and for what I know he will do in the community when he is elected. His campaign Because You Deserve Better is backed by me 100%. Thank you again Jeff Bubblegum Mullins I as well as everyone associated with Mullens Youth Football appreciate you more than you know.
