Since she got up this morning Meg has been working on the schedule. There is a total of 211 games which works out to 18 hours of games per week. This season we have a Super Bowl Sunday, Field Hockey tourney, MIHA Tournament, Easter, MLRH, and MIHA finals in Detroit which falls on the second week of playoffs. Not counting the 3 half days... each week 8 teams will have bye weeks. Without Saturdays some teams would go 3 weeks without a game. Even with using some Saturday time the league is going to extend until May 17th. And by the way May 17th is MIHA Finals so we need to have Bronze and Novice only for Playoffs. Novice and Bronze should plan on making a day of this because your playoffs will take place in one day. Silver & Gold will be all day on the 10th. We have teams that need to be scheduled close to others. We have teams that play travel hockey that need weekends off. At the same time she makes sure teams dont play twice a week. It will make your brain hurt. The next time you see Meg tell her thanks. I dont think many people know what she does to try and make this run as smooth as possible. I am the guy who gets the credit for how things are run, but I can tell you when it comes to the backend work it is all her. We wouldnt have this place without her. On another note, Stan Shulte Volunteers his time to help and make the Bronze and Novice leagues run as smooth as possible. Lets keep in mind before we start blaming people for ratings etc. He doesnt rate players for personal gain. He does it to try and keep the leagues fun and fair. I have yet to see him make a decision I didnt agree with when it comes to ratings. Thank You Stan Schulte for all you do for this place.
