Sit and watch a candle burn while a clock is ticking audibly in the background... you will have the most sensory laden example of our lives. Meditate while you do this.You will be shocked at the emotions it can draw out.... Then blow the candle out, and focus on the smoke. That puff is how fast our legacies are gone in the grand scheme of things over the course of human history. Very few ever last beyond 20 years of remembrance after their deaths, and even then our true selves become lost in myth and speculation, either over glorified because people forget our flaws, or under appreciated for the good we did. Im not being fatalistic, Im speaking the truth. If you cant accept this, maybe you should meditate in the mirror and check your pride....
