Six years since I last saw my brother Elliott... Four years since I spent quality time with my brother Jor-El... Three since I hugged and kissed my dad... How I longed and cried out to God to give me the opportunity of having just a few moments with them again. And he answered... ...in the most amazing way. -personal notes follow- This past week was one of the most beautiful weeks of my life. Elliott, I am so proud of you. I am proud of the man you have become. I am thankful that God has not only kept you, but continues to place the right people around you to continue developing you into an even more incredible human. I know you are going to make an extraordinary doctor.... And I cant begin to express how honored I am that you and Issa have asked me to do your marriage ceremony in December!! We are going to have an unbelievably good time. I am counting down the days until then, my dear brother. Issa, I cant be more happy that you are going to officially become a part of the family. I know Karina, Addi, and Zali are going to go crazy for you when they meet you, just as I have. Elliott is blessed to have found you, and I am thankful to God for you and your way of being. I love you, and I am proud to call you my sister. I promise to give my all in putting together a few thoughtful words to mark the beginning of your life as Elliotts companion, and he as yours... Its going to be beautiful. Jor-El, I dont know where to start. You really were the sealing agent to my time in Honduras. Without you, my time there would have been incomplete. Your sincerity is unbelievably touching, and your willingness to serve just goes above and beyond. And talk about funny? Bro, your stories had us all cracking up!! I am so happy that in a few weeks time I will see you again and be able to enjoy a close relationship with you once more. Who knew last year when I booked my flight that you and I would be frolicking in Honduras together this past week? Only God. And though you dont believe, its ok... Hes still crazy about you, regardless. One day, youll see. :-) (I had to throw in the Jesus talk, right??) Pa, el mero mero - the head honcho of the family. We are beyond blessed for you to be our dad. You can be crazy at times, but you continue to steal the hearts of your children and of those around you. I just want to make you proud and show the world the seeds that you deposited in me throughout the years. You are the most unique human Ive ever experienced... I still cant believe that at your age, you are a father to Ethan (3 years) and Dylan (5 months). I love them both so much. I will forever remember Ethans Usted es mio? talk when he first saw me... It was the best greeting I could have received when meeting my baby brother for the very first time! And, pa? You have a great thing going with Claudia. I was so impressed with how she balances you out perfectly... A match made in heaven! I cant wait until we all play together again. Roberto, you were the icing on the cake, my friend. I thank you so much for choosing to spend the holidays with us. I enjoyed your presence, our conversations, and your guitar playing - getting to know was awesome! You fit in perfectly with the family and am happy that you are an honorary Moran brother. I thank you for extending your friendship, Roberto. You are the prime example that quality trumps quantity, any day. Hopefully, I have a keyboard next time so we can jam a little. :-) To my incredible wife, Karina... Rena baby, this entire trip would have been impossible - absolutely impossible - without you. I still remember when you told me to book the flight to see my family - it was a no brainer for you! Thats one of the very reasons why Im truly madly deeply in love with you. You see my needs - even when I dont - and you tend to them - selflessly. You are my soulmate, and I am so thankful for that. I can only imagine the effort you exerted to care for our two munchkins these past few days - day and night. I promise to rub your feet when I get home, baby. Just be sure to have my dinner waiting for me on the table tonight (yeah right, well order in, well order in). Ahhhhh!!!! Amazing time, my friends, and I cant wait to head back in December - Addi, Zali, Rena, you are going to love it! :-)
