Slow Eccentrics Log presses was on todays agenda, so I woke up - TopicsExpress

Slow Eccentrics Log presses was on todays agenda, so I woke up happy as a little girl on Christmas Day;) Studys have shown that there is a greater neural adaptation in eccentric training compared to concentric training. Neutral adaptation is what makes you stronger. So for anyone trying to get stronger, having periods of slow eccentrics are very important. You cant of course do very slow tempos all the time, as your body gets used to a certain way of training after a few sessions. This means that you might not progress after a few weeks on the same program and wont get any stronger. Periodisation is key in any program, whether youre training for strength, fat loss or hypertrophy. Happy lifting, Pia!
