So I fell into this project, as I have been many others lately and Im very excited. My dad has a lot of family heirlooms that he has stored over the years and this baby was one of them. One day upon downsizing my father decided to get rid of this box which originally was my great grandfathers tool box. I did not discover that he wanted it out until it was already at the auctioning place, but upon seeing it, decided that it should not leave the family. I made my dad haul her back into his truck and to my home. I knew she needed some work but I needed inspiration. I finally decided on using maps. I used Quinns old pilot map, and a few from my grandfather (the son of the original trunk owner who has been to ever American state excluding one.) I feel as though this toolbox/truck has had years of history but still has many to come. It reminds me of my family and all of the creativity that is among us. I hope you guys appreciate the work that myself and every owner before me has out into creating this heirloom.
