So I was hanging out with my son yesterday at one of those kid play zones at the mall (aka the hive of every germ imaginable) and a woman walked up and stood beside me. Her son was playing next to mine. Heres how our very awkward conversation went: Woman: Wow, your son is tall. How old is he? Me: Hes almost 2. Woman: Really? Mine is a little over 3 and your son is much taller. Me: My wife is tall. Woman: And so are you. Pause Woman: My entire family is tall. But my husband is short. I want my son to be tall like yours. Pause. Woman: What are you feeding him? Me: Youd have to ask my wife. The regular stuff, I suppose. She handles all the particulars. Woman: Really. Wow. Hes really tall. Im still feeding mine. Pause. Me: Feeding him what? Pause. Me: Oh. Oh. No, my son is eating real food. I mean, thats real too, but... Pause. The woman smiles, lifts her kid, and walks away. #Awkward LOL
