So I was having a conversation with a great friend about the false doctrine of the RAPTURE and the misunderstanding of the whole left behind prophecy...First off the term RAPTURE is not found in any biblical text including the fathers word aka the bible..So where besides Kirk Cameron and Nicholas cage is this idea coming from? Lets examine. Most are taught the scripture 1Th 14 : 16 Because the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a word of authority, with the voice of the chief angel, with the sound of a horn: and the dead in Christ will come to life first; 17 Then we who are still living will be taken up together with them into the clouds to see the Lord in the air: and so will we be for ever with the Lord. Understand this taken up event happens when Christ returns not before the tribulation as most assume its pretty clear. Another misunderstood scripture is matt 24: 37 And as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man. 38 Because as in those days before the overflowing of the waters, they were feasting and taking wives and getting married, till the day when Noah went into the ark, 39 And they had no care till the waters came and took them all away; so will be the coming of the Son of man. And luke 17: 34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. 35Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 36Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Now we are under the assumption being taken is what we want but is it? No!! Why? Lets examine the precepts as we are commanded to do for understanding Notice it is written as in the days of noah they had no care until the waters took them away. Precept genesis Chapter 7 1 Then the LORD said to Noah, Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time. (So who was left? Noah ) Genesis 7 : 21 All flesh that moved on the earth perished, birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind; 22 of all that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died. 23 Thus He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky, and they were blotted out from the earth; and only Noah WAS LEFT, together with those that were with him in the ark. Not enough? Lets visit the precepts of the prophet esdras.... 2Esdras 13 : 48 But those that are LEFT BEHIND of thy people are they that are found within My borders. 49 Now when He destroyeth the multitude of the nations that are gathered together, He shall defend His people that remain. 2Esdras 13: 24 Know this therefore, that they which be left behind are more blessed than they that be dead. 25 This is the meaning of the vision: Whereas thou sawest a man coming up from the midst of the sea: 26 The same is he whom God the Highest hath kept a great season, which by his own self shall deliver his creature: and he shall order them that are left behind. Luke 17: 28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.(lot walked out) So whats the conclusion you want to be left behind because that is when the most high will need true warriors he chose to leave you because you have produced good fruit this time will be hard and many will die the final death but stay true and faithful you will meet him on the return for those taken before the return >>>>>> precept luke 17: 36Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 37And they answered and said unto him,>>>> Where, Lord?
