So I watched the Secret Life of Walter Mitty with Ben Stiller, and despite my preconceptions of it being good but maybe not something that Id want to watch, it was really good. It hit home a little bit actually. Heres why: We are all people, we all have lives, and we all do things with our lives. Everyone does something different, just like every is different. Ive always said that its not the destination, but how you get there. I guess the end doesnt justify the means because we all end up in the same place really. Its about what you do before then, how much you enjoy it, and who you spend it with. Id say Im a little like Walter in a sense; I have a lot of thoughts and day dreams and wishes, but its all in my head. Im not gonna glorify myself and say Ive done all this awesome stuff, or that Im some fantastical person, cause thats just it; Im not. Not because anyone is any better than someone else, but because we are all so different, yet so similar. I wont try to explain that because it means something different to everyone, Ill just let you ponder it for a while. Im a thinker, and I guess Im working my way to being a doer, Im just still working out the kinks. Its been a long and rather difficult road, and I dont think its going to change anytime soon. I dont think it should either. Everyone has their struggle, their fight. Its just a matter of being able to accept that and still like them for who they are. Not caring if things are a little grey now and then. Because at the end of the day, were all just people. Trying to live. Thats why its called the pursuit of happiness; Id say its a constant thing you have to actively seek out. If you snooze you lose I guess.
