So Ian is over the detox hump! He is staying at the Job Corp and doing well. I talked to his counselor yesterday and he came clean about everything! His fear and flight yesterday came from the chemicals in his brain telling him he needed to run and get high but he toughed it out and is doing much better today. He is giving meditation, yoga and exercise a try to help relieve his itch to get messed up. Anyone that has gone through drug withdrawal knows its hard and sometimes life threatening. He has 6 days clean and getting better everyday. Job Corp is where he needs to be and he needs to get his diploma and a trade under his belt so he can join the workforce and military a whole new person. Being a parent isnt easy. Ive been so stressed the last few days with worry that my son was going to die and now there is light at the end of the tunnel. His counselor said he detoxed with dignity, no complaining, no whining and with that one small hiccup yesterday he has been a trooper! So for all of you worried about Ian if you would like to write him letters of encouragement PM me and I will give you his address. He needs all the encouragement he can get to make it through the next 4 years of Job corp. He wants to be a marine!! I am pushing for that! It will truly make him the man he and I know he can be!!
