So Im not gonna lie, after this last injury and my new job I honestly thought I may hang up the skates for good. I had some people in my life that never doubted me and knew it was nothing but an obstacle..... So, tonight I stepped on the track tonight, my first game since my birthday, Jan 25th, and I skated and finished the whole game. I felt a little slow w this added weight from the gym, I felt a little out of place in some of the strategies, and things felt awkward on the track for the first time, well, ever for me.... Finally, the jam came that I blocked w Filup Bagby and Rhine Rhino Holford, everything clicked, it was familiar, they covered what I couldnt. It was one of the greatest homecoming feelings ever. I think another reason it was great tonight was the fact that I was able to skate against some guys Ive watched and played this sport w for so long I dont even remember the first time anymore. Luke Powell and G.i. Joel, its always fun, you and youre whole team is a class act, and its nice knowing I may of played a very tiny part in helping build it, then lit a fire when I left.... You guys did awesome!
