So apparently over in America the D.C. Appeals Court just killed - TopicsExpress

So apparently over in America the D.C. Appeals Court just killed Net Neutrality. Basically, cable companies want to slow down (and break!) your favorite sites, for profit. Meaning that social media sites for artists wont get as much traffic. Your favourite web comic? Youll have to pay to read it with this in place. That indie band that has their own website to buy their music? Pay just to visit the site. Unless everyone fights back against this - even the ones outside of America have a voice because this affects ALL of us. Imagine all your favorite websites taking forever to load, while you get annoying notifications from your ISP suggesting you switch to one of their approved “Fast Lane” sites. This could be the end of the Internet as we know it. But it doesnt have to be. September 10th at Midnight, Internet Slowdown is in place. The idea is to show everyone how the internet will be with no Net Neutrality by changing your Twitter avatar to loading images, having a banner on your blog, or sharing images onto facebook.
