So, as of now, nobody has nominated me for the ice bucket challenge. While I definitely would have rejected the challenge like Dikembe Mutombo and waved my finger in the nominators face, I do kind of feel left out. That being said, to echo the sentiments of the lesser known/liked/acknowledged Froehlich, Kevin Froehlich, I am very happy to see the generous outpouring of support and donations in the hopes of an eventual eradication of ALS. Like him, I have decided--with a heavy heart--not to donate to ALS, but $50 each to causes close to me: CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) in honor of my brave and strong awesome sister-in-law Shanley Rose Crutchfield and Lyme Disease in honor of my equally brave and strong dear coworker and friend Kecia Wolf. I love you both and pray for the day when you no longer have to suffer; hopefully these meager contributions can help expedite the process.
