So daylight savings time has really messed things up out here at camp, we are geographically positioned in a location that ordinarily does not recognize the shift (as Im posting this its 5:22 AB, 4:22 local)... the only people in the camp who operate on AB time is the 4 man crew that we have, the other 30-40 pipelines all operate on local time... After the complete kerfuffel that the time shift caused the camp (which is also on AB time as the camp is operated by Black Swan Energy) at breakfast, they have moved the meal times back one hour and now are not serving supper until 6:30 AB time... which is fine and dandy I dont have a problem with it, other than the fact that our cross shift is supposed to be at that same time... Now I dont have complaints about this, and I see no rhyme nor reason why we cannot adapt our cross shift schedule by an hour as well, move the on lease time from just after 6 to just after 7... but the Day supervisor is the one who makes that call and I know its not gonna fly well with him... I feel bad for the Camp Manager because she really is doing her best to adapt the situation to accommodate everyones needs and I know my day super isnt going to be very kind to her this evening as a result of this change... Its not that big of a deal to me, and I told the camp attendant that when she informed me of the meal time switch... but I also cant speak for the rest of the crew... especially the set in his ways day super... *sigh* guess all I can do is tell them if we move cross shift that they get an extra hour of sleep tonight to make up for the one they didnt realize they lost, hopefully they go for it and the camp manager doesnt have to deal with too much crap from my super... because really she is doing the best she can in this scenario
