So far in Rwanda - meaningful interactions with students, meetings at World Relief and the Institute of Research and Dialogue for Peace, discussion with participants in the Akazi Kanozi youth livelihoods project, powerful presentation by one of our students on the Lords Resistance Army in Uganda - realization through this and genocide survivors that healing and reconciliation come largely through dialogue and indigenous cultural frameworks. Kigali is very clean and progressive - hard to believe that only 20 years ago, the city and country faced such devastation. And, finally, after an unexpected $300 in excess data, learning that AT&Ts international plan doesnt operate in Rwanda (they forgave the amount).
