So, here is the closure weve been seeking. At the close of nominations, we had to submit our manifestos. This is so that our publicity could be be approved by the Union, translated, and published in the Waterfront. On March 14th, a day after I submitted it, somebody else purchased the domain name from my manifesto. (Stupid I hadnt bought it before, but who was going to buy it in less than 24 hours!? I couldnt have been more wrong) On March 14th, only a small number of people had sight of the domain name. These people were: - Deputy Returning Officer and Assistant Returning Officers. - Welsh Translators in the Students’ Union. - The Waterfront student newspaper. - Me and a handful of my mates. My legal representative got onto the hosting company for the name on the card used to purchase the domain. The name on the card used was a ‘Mr Jonathan May’. As you can see from the letter, the individual behind the website put in fake registration details. This included my name, a fake email address, and Zahid’s office extension number. Thank you to everyone that has supported me over the past couple of weeks, we finally got to the bottom of it.
