So, here it is. I have been thinking about this for awhile. Now we have confirmation that Marina is a go for the 2015 autox season. I feel now is a great time to move forward and announce my idea with the help and co-chair Ericka Pieracci. The SF bay area is an amazing place for autox enthusiasts. As I had mentioned this isnt about autox sites, or cars. Its about the drivers. As you all know I have been involved with Lotus since 1977. Many times I have been asked by Lotus clubs to hold tech seminar etc. One year I said I will help with the West Coast Lotus Meet, but I didnt what to do anything involving cars. So, I volunteered to organize the Saturday night banquet. It had yellow and green balloons, table cloths and napkins, flower arrangements etc. A true Lotus banquet, which I had a blast organizing. We have many autox clubs in the Bay Area, SCCA, Lotus, AAS, BMW, PCA, Corvette, etc so lets have one big party. We can have sponsors, door prizes, raffle, a model car contest etc. We are completely open to suggestions to make this an amazing evening to remember. Christmas time is always a fun time to spend time with friends, so I am thinking a Christmas / New Years party mid January 2016. Looking forward to your thoughts and comments.
