So heres the thing. I *liked* weatherchannels Facebook page thinking Id be receiving national updates on the weather. (Crazy, I know.) Well, apparently weatherchannel not only deals in weather, but also every single piece of depressing news in the nation. Tonight alone Ive seen three NON-WEATHER related stories come across my Facebook feed. The first was some dramatic alert meant to terrify me about some womans rabies symptoms, the next was to inform me of some freak-accident that killed two innocent children, and the last was a top-ten list of reasons why I should hate my life. (Okay, that last one is slightly exaggerative.) But really? If I wanted DebbieDownerNews I wouldnt be tuning into the weather channel feed. Rainstorms, floods, hail, heat waves, tornados, hurricanes...thats you weatherchannel. Stick to what you know best. Please!
