So many of you Droolers have bassets that have been known for counter surfing, stealing food, chewing shoes, etc. I feel extremely fortunate that my Mr. Dickens is such a good boy. I can leave a bag of dog treats on the floor and be gone for hours and he touches nothing. He had a ruptured disc on his back four years ago so he can no longer jump on people (a good thing) or jump on counters, but he never did any counter surfing. However, he did come by his name honestly. He was a little Dickens when I got him from the rescue group at four months of age. He absolutely hated the metal kennel and tried to chew his way out until he finally got the freedom he wanted. In the photo below, he was known for stealing slippers and shoes. And he does look GUILTY! Id love to see some pictures of your hounds looking GUILTY after being caught being naughty!
