So maybe youre sitting here, one week away from Thanksgiving overwhelmed by the thought of thanklessness. Maybe life is hard and all consuming and theres no easy way out and you kind of feel bad that you cant muster up the strength to find some sense of gratitude. Maybe youve tried to ignore the feelings that wash over you, like crashing waves on a helpless shore, you cant fight the tide that has taken you here. In the midst of bad news heres the great news- God gets it. He sees your heart and he loves you, not despite whats going on, not because of what has happened, but simply because he is love. So tonight theres grace for this place and you dont have to force yourself to feel something you cant; you just have to be honest and allow God to do the work. He is love. He loves you. Place yourself in the center of that love tonight. Allow his voice to drown out all else--including yours.
