So the saga continues and its looking more and more likely Ill be taking the DR650 to the Cold Kiwi Rally this coming weekend instead of the R80. After getting the electrical issues sorted yesterday the right hand float bowl gasket has decided to give in. I hadnt pulled the carbs apart as its been a rush job just trying to get the essentials sorted for the rally as Ive only recently acquired the bike. The gasket is very old and very tired and at some stage in the past has been clamped bent over so its poked. Also, the left hand cylinder has decided to stop firing dammit! Oh well, will see if I can source a gasket locally tomorrow.
