So today I got a great Fathers Day gift from my friend Kris Carnish.. I went to see one of our games (Whitesox, a team i managed since the early 90s up until a couple of years ago) (hardball with wooden bats).. it turned out that they were a man short and he asked me to fill in for an inning until his other guy got there.. anyway, i started in right field and prayed that they would not hit to me but set in my mind that i would be the best right fielder i could be.. during the warm up i realized that my left arm was still not 100% but i didnt care, even if it did hurt a bunch.. I played all 9 innings and batted 3 times, struck out once, popped out the next and grounded out the third time off a left handed pitcher who threw well over 80 mph (only three guys touched him, me and two others).. on the first at bat i could hear my team mates laughing as they watched an old guy play the game with a bunch of young-guns but the other at bats were different, they cheered me on and thought it was cool that i hit off the lefty..
