So today my family said our goodbyes to Auntie Claire. Her Marine send off was very emotional and I was so proud to be a part of it. Throughout these past few days, all I could think about was how awesome it was to be together with my cousins and their families. We always tell each other that its nice to see one another despite the tragic and sad circumstances. I know that at times of losing a loved one we need one another to begin the grieving and healing process BUT we also need to show our children and grandchildren just how important family is without only getting together for a funeral! My brother and I are going to attempt to organize a Family Reunion this Spring. Im so excited about this idea and I hope we can continue it every year! Of course, we will need as much help as possible and we welcome any ideas!
