So, what did you do on your Christmas vacation?! A group of friends and I did our best to recreate the music video for Last Christmas by Wham! shot-for-shot. We had a couple of quick shoots in Pemberton (thanks to the Pemberton Valley Vineyard Inn). Whistler (thanks to Rob Douglas for the Freedom Dance Party and to The Tantalus Lodge) and in Vancouver (mega host Ashley DeGraaf)! Shot entirely on a 2001 Creative Labs Vado handheld device, the footage is very VHS in feel, but still captures much of the enthusiasm everyone brought to this winter project! I have two small cameos in the vid, but remained behind the camera while the acting talents of my fantastic friends shone through. Thanks to everyone who was involved, especially Meika Taylor for supplying many of the costumes used throughout the video and Michael Jacoby for channeling his inner George Michael in a performance that could only be rivaled by Daniel Day Lewis!
