So yet again am driven by impulse to jot this down and ship it as soon as tonight whilst adrenaline still flies through me. The crowning of Miss Uganda 2014/2015 seems to have raised mixed reactions and social media has been awash with all kinds of comments in that regard. That we all are entitled to our own opinion is not debatable. It is however not right to make other people victims of this entitlement most especially when it has everything to do with myopia. Now, I do not know this lady on a personal level though on a few occasions I have crossed paths with her before and shared views on a thing or two albeit in a group. There is something unique and special about her, certainly more than meets the eye. The gracefulness she exudes is admirable. She is very intelligent too. It is unfortunate that today we are subjected to a world where people define beauty based on who they are. That some individuals will for failure to deal with their insecurities, attach meanings to terms within the limitation of their senses. More often than not, we view things through the mirror of our eyes and the clarity of the mirror determines the quality of the image reflected. Needless to say if we have insecurities on the inside, the mirror of our eyes becomes clouded thus affecting the image of what we behold, hence the old adage “beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”. It therefore matters the lens of your eyes for when we are inadequate on the inside, our views, evaluation and comprehension of things is inadequate too. It is also true what they say, that we cannot give what we do not have. If you harbor negativity in its highest form, your perception may not fall short of that. As we aim to soar on wings like Eagles, it is also pertinent that we identify the greatest enemies and obstacles to our predetermined heights. Friends, the patients in the most critical of conditions are not found in the hospital wards neither are they that lie on their deathbeds, those that live amongst us with a myopic mindset are today’s critical casualties for they suffer from ailments they might not know of. Ailments only made manifest through their perception of things around them. To be continued……………. For God and my country. #CongratulationsLeahKalanguka.#TeamEndMYOPIAnow.
