Some have always wondered why Barry OFarrell resigned as NSW Premier over something as trivial as a $3,000 bottle of wine. There are some dots to be joined on the matter, and Ill give you a hint. Its been brought up a few times at ICAC but hasnt received much coverage, but theres a big clue at 7:30 into this video. It was OFarrell who ultimately knocked back the Tinkler Coal Loader, when Buildev were asked to re-submit the plan as an unsolicited development concept. Mike Baird replaced him as Premier, and it was Baird who had carriage of the sale of Newcastle Port Corporation, in his time as Treasurer and he concluded it on 31 May, shortly after he became Premier. Now with NPC no longer a government entity - well - youll be hearing more about this, mark my words...
