Someone asked me yesterday why l am attracted to vaastu vidya. I am attracted to vaastu vidya because the science behind authentic vaastu shastra (not the mistaken modern vaastu) is deeply profound. It is both scientific and spiritual - not religous but spiritual. It goes beyond religion taking one deeply into understanding the source of life through scientific understanding and application of quantum mechanics. A scientist would say quantum field, an artist would say creative intelligence; a religous person would say supreme being; a mystic would say the mystical or great mystery. These are one and the same Field of creative energy. This great field of vaastu vidya is not Hindu but hindus seek its application. It is not Jain, Buddist, Islamic, jewish, or Christain but all of these sects used vishwakarmas and vaastu shastras to build their temples, stupas, mosques, churches and homes throughout history in ancient and to some extent modern times. Vaastu shastras explains how energy is transformed into matter which is enclosed or bounded space, and then how to assesss the qualities of that bounded space to then create built space/ bounded space that has specific uplifting qualities or vibration that effects inhabitants and visitors in a positive way. It explains how the supreme being manifests itself as the material world in a specific mathematical order and how it geometrises. It is a very rich science that when applied properly uplifts humanity on all levels. There is no reason or meaning to my life but to study and apply this knowledge for the wellbeing of humanity. This is what I do every day. I was blessed by my teacher Dr V Ganapati Sthapati the doyen of Vaastu Vidya to begin a school where this knowledge and practice is taught to honorable people who seek to help humanity. I humbly carry out this dharma and feel grateful to have come to such a noble knowledge in this life. This field does not require belief or faith. After spending time in one of these buildings one is overcome by a sense of well being that is beyond normal experience. A clarity and peacefulness arises that is elevating and deeply relaxing. Even the people who work on these buildings- carpenters, plumbers, etc., feel the special energy emitted by these buildings. They know nothing about this science but experience the result. It is called by its progenitor Mamuni Mayan, Vaastu Dharma - the Luminous Path.
