Something i keep seeing a lot of both on here and fleabay.... Ive been getting pretty dismayed when i see individuals, or breakers who should know better, selling sets of Newage STi manifolds seperate from the injector bodies which are part and parcel of the inlet manifold. Because those with WRXs require them as a mod when having stuff like anti-lag and all that, and cant be bothered modifiying their own, paying someone to have them done or buying one of those very nicely finished aftermarket jobbies. Its created a demand. Since breakers have got onto the these are more profitable sold seperately and well call them TGV deletes band wagon its getting very hard to find complete sets of STi manifolds unless they come with an engine. They are not TGV deletes, they are injector bodies and are part and parcel of the inlet manifold. A WRX inlet manifold without its injector bodies is the same as the top half of an STi inlet manifold apart form the red crinkle paint. Why are you paying for these? These part manifolds are of no use without the injector bodies so why am i seeing them for sale seperate from the injector bodies. Makes no sense whatsoever. Another pet hate of of mine..... Its become a very sad state of affairs seeing so many perfectly good and serviceable Subaru being broken and scrapped. Specially perfectly good late classics, early newage and now quite a few late newage and early hatchbacks. Id also like to know just how many subaru breakers are properly licensed, keep proper records of all the cars they break, how they dispose of scrap shells, engines and vehicle fluids, tyres, etc etc.. The humble subaru must be one of the most broken and dismantled high performance vehicles in the UK, and ive noted that has been increasing at great speed over the last 3-4yrs, certainly fuelled by FaceBook as the medium of choice to do this, fast buck syndrome, and ultimately owners that cant afford to run their subaru. If you want to make a car really rare to the point it eventually all but disappears, please carry on. I dont care if you agree with me or not, this is just the way i feel and nothing more than my opinion however, beware the future of the humble Subaru as we know it.
