Speaking at the 17th National Integration Camp( Rashtra Katha Shibr) to 15000 students from 29 states of India on the theme of , Role of Youth in Nation Building , was a unique opportunity .The camp is organised by Swami Dharambandhuji, a young. Spiritual and knowledge Guru, at village Pansala , District Rajkot, State of Gujrat ( India ) to acquaint Indian youth to our civilisational history, Indian traditions , inculcate moral values, leadership traits and spirit of Nationalism and patriotism.The whole event is organised and conducted by dedicated volunteers from all sections of society ; select political leaders, civil servants , scientist , entrepreneurs, academicians , diplomats , spiritual gurus , military and police officers. The day starts with yoga/ meditation , self defence training . Pre and post lunch period , eminent speakers from all walks of life deliver information loaded and motivational talks . President APJ Kalam, PM Narinder Modia , Anna Hazare, retired Service Chiefs from the armed forces , to name a few .......have spoken at this great event.Exclusive interaction is organised for teachers and youth seeking guidance in career planning.Many students from the academic institutions come for the voluntary service. The army , the police and National Disaster Management Authority put up equipment exhibitions and train the youth in drill , physical training and horse riding.In the evening the youth organise a cultural programme showcasing the rich cultural heritage of India.Besides the camp , Guruji, organises mass marriage ceremonies in a very simple and sober way. I attended the event with my wife . One was inspire by the dedicated participation by General Randhir Mehta, General PC Katoch and General GD Bakshi. Air Chief Marshal PV Naik and General Atta Hasnain were amongst the galaxy of distinguished speakers. We were deeply impressed with the dedication of Swamaji, team of volunteers and the enthusiasm shown by the participants.The event has reinforce our hope and optimism about a bright future for India.I am attaching pictures showcasing some of the activities.
