Special JWC Statement. It is definitely feeling more like January than November in Joliet. Another shot of arctic air plunged into the area, making it feel darn right bitterly cold today. Under cloudy skies, light snow showers and flurries are blowing through the sky and along roadways as brisk northerly winds are howling between 20-30mph at times. With temperatures only in the upper teens to around 20, along with the gusty winds, wind chill readings are falling below zero. Please bundle up and wear plenty of layers, especially if you are outside for a prolonged time. Tonight may see temperatures dip into the upper single digits with wind chill readings between 0 and -10 below. And yes, this is November my friends. Prepare for another very cold day tomorrow and fortunately some temperature moderation is on the horizon. Be safe and stay warm everyone. (Jeremy)
