Spirit Meat Devotionals 12 Aug 2014 EMBRACING YOUR DESTINY PRESERVES YOUR LIFE - JOSHUA 14:8 – 12 10. And now, behold, the Lord had kept me alive, as He said, this forty and five years…” Caleb was forty years old when he said: “we are well able to take the land.…” At eighty five (85) he was unchanged; all his colleagues at that time had died. In fact, all his colleagues actually died on the very night they made that negative confession. All that remained for execution of that sentence was time. It was as done deal. Unbelief kills men. When you refuse to embrace your destiny, the devil will wipe you out. When you embrace your destiny, God will help you to accomplish it and preserve you for your destiny. Faith in God will keep you alive. After Forty five years he said, “As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me…”(Joshua 14:11a). Faith preserved his strength; he looked like he didn’t grow old. When you choose to believe God, He preserves you. “…as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in” (Joshua 14:11b). When you embrace your destiny, you will accomplish things as the Lord said not as the enemy says....I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said.” The word of the enemy is not important in our lives, it’s the word of the Lord our God that is important. It doesn’t matter where you find yourself, if the Lord put you there, you will accomplish what the Lord wants you to do there as the Lord has said. You must step up to the field of destiny and play. The credit does not belong to somebody criticizing. Anybody can criticize but it’s the man that steps into the field of his destiny and embraces the challenges (that his destiny brings his way), that the credit belongs to. When you go to watch a football match, you will discover that the best footballers are the ones in the spectators stand. They know how the men should or shouldn’t play but they can’t even kick a ball themselves. Dont spend your life or your time in the critic section of life, get into the participant section of life and embrace all that your destiny requires. Prayer: Father, I choose today to embrace my destiny and all the challenges it brings, I receive the divine preservation that only comes by embracing destiny demands. I declare it shall be to me also, as the Lord has said in Jesus’ name. Amen.
