Spiritual Animals Man is an animal which gives things a name as a means of asserting his ambitious claim of domination over creatures. John Keynes used the phrase “animal spirits” to emphasize the “gut instinct” which helps us to decide on important issues successfully. Writers use it in the conventional sense to describe a mindless sense of exuberance. Eunice D’Souza unravels the puzzle in Steven Farmer’s book “Animal spirit guides”. Myths, fairy tales and epics are full of animal metaphors; even the stock market has a bull and bear phase. We do not require mystic insights to understand that we are all interconnected in the universe. Gods and goddesses have their favorite animals, depiction talking to each other in a common language. According to Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, every form of life which exists, including microbes, termites, trees, horses, forest animals and all creatures can trace their lineage to one ancestral living organism billions of years ago. Supernova scattered carbon deposits are in every DNA. We are hitched to everything in this universe. Native Americans communicate frequently with animals through intersection to nature. Education, wisdom and cognitive capacities have little to do with spirituality. Spirituality is omnipresent and omnipotent forever guiding us to merge with the source and universe - it simply means we have a shared origin with this world we inhabit. – Vinay-
