Srinagar: Authorities on Wednesday did not allow Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani and JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik to offer Eid congregation prayers. The Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar told Greater Kashmir that policemen remained deployed around Geelani’s Haiderpora residence and he was not allowed to move out. Meanwhile, a JKLF spokesman said that Police cordoned off Yasin Malik’s Maisuma residence on Tuesday evening and informed him that he has been placed under house arrest.
