Stanzas 138-145” (Part 5 of 5) So. To re-cap on its entirety, this is of an average European person, who is chosen to go to the site of a Burial Mound, to enter its fenced off territory (this place would be known as Midgard. So no, Midgard does not mean Earth. It is rather the Middle ground/garden. The “Middle-Earth” if you will. The area within the encircling fence). Upon traversing Midagrd’s overgrowth, he walks atop the mound and removes his clothes, hanging them upon the tree that is growing atop the mound (Yggdrasil). He stabs his clothes in a symbolic death with a spear, the spear symbolically like the Rune Ansuz. He is thus pretending to be dead taking on the role as Ôðinn , to gain access to the realm of death, Hel (The mound itself). He then enters Hel, with Thought/Mind/Inspiration/Wisdom as his escort (Ôðinn). As he pretends to be the dead himself. Inside Hel he will find the actress pretending to be her. He then presents her with the Mistletoe which is his symbolic life essence, the key he needs for Hel. Hel will then Teach him the sacred songs (Galdr) and the secrets (Runes), for nine days and nine nights this process will go. Once complete he, a new initiate, will enter the mounds center, Valhalla. The hall of the fallen/chosen, where the body of his past self (Ancestor/Forebear) is (represented as Baldr [White/Pure/Life]). The Initiate will then take on the honoured noble dead’s name, his honour, his words, his deeds, his possessions, and his hamingja. Becoming him and taking on his mantle [Baldr reborn]. The initiate is now a true man, a true deity, with a Hamingja of tremendous honour to Cultivate. He then leaves Hel. Leaves Midgard. And returns to Asgard (The Earth). This time as something more. The honourable never die. Deities never die. Birth, Life, Death, Rebirth. That is what it is. The same story yet again, a story we see over and over again, yet we have not the Mind/Wisdom to see it clearly. It is lost wisdom, it is dirtied and destroyed history, kept alive in soul only by it being hidden in Myths, Stories, Fairy Tales and Traditions. People just need to know where to look, or just need a hand.
