Studying the word this morning and reflecting. The Apostle Paul - TopicsExpress

Studying the word this morning and reflecting. The Apostle Paul told Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:1-7 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. My thought for the day is this: Things are going to get worse before they get better. If God made his own people suffer persecution, you can bank on it that we will suffer persecution too. We all know that bad things happen to great people. Thats just part of life. But Jesus did say in John 14:16-18 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. We are in the world but we are not of this world! The world thinks that we are all alone and are weak. We are not weak! We are strong because we have our God, who has never been defeated and never will! So friends, hang on tight cause its gonna be a bumpy ride to the finish!
