Subject: Muzaffarnagar riots and support to the victims Dear Friends, All of us know about the Muzaffarnagar riots and the aftermath of the horrific incidents. We, the JMS and concerned citizens, have since been active in mobilising support to the victims of the riots. We have so far collected money, clothes, utensils and dry food items for the riot affected families. One lot of the collection has already been sent to the camps set up for the victims in Muzarffarnagar. The riots victims have lost everything; there houses have been burnt. If they now wish to go back home, they would have to set up home including their kitchens. At our initiative, efforts are now on to collect funds to be able to provide a set of utensils to as many families as we could. A delegation from our organisation is going to Muzaffarnagar on October 5 to hand over the items to the affected families. To save the country and save democracy in the country it is imperative that we save the secular character of India.
