Suffering for what? By Roy Wasson Life is unpredictable from our point of view. But, God has you in His Hands. I write this to anyone who has staying in a situation too long. Basically you find yourself in the position of suffering from your own sin of not leaving when God wanted you to or perhaps of even starting a bad relationship in the first place. It is like if you had a mechanic remind you to change your oil in your car and you never did. You find yourself with a broken down car and then go to the mechanic and say what can I do now? That is where you are at now. God would have taken care of you even when you ended the relationship or if you had never started it. Sometimes people ask me the question if they should continue with a certain person. I tell them to think of it like swimming. You should not swim out farther than half the distance that you can swim. Some people need more help than you can give. Some people are going the wrong way and will lead you away from God way of living. The greatest help that you can give to them is the cost of your friendship and stay away from them. The cost of not valuing you is the lifelong cost of your friendship. You got in over your head and beyond your ability to swim. You need to ask the Lifeguard for help and get out of the water. If this is you then you have the same story of millions of people. There is the possibility of you becoming a statistic and a story in some local newspaper. Those are the cruel honest truths. If you have skills and the ability then put them to use. May the Lord bless and keep you safe from harm. Complete avoidance at all cost to save your soul is often your best answer.
