Summary of last nights game, Germany scored 7 goals and Brazil - TopicsExpress

Summary of last nights game, Germany scored 7 goals and Brazil scored 1 goal, which means Brazilians are eliminated, (because they scored less goals than Germany). Im trying to make it less humiliating than it was. What was that? We knew Germans were great, but Brazilians made them look like Giants, they completely cracked, just like their defense, and discipline. It was awful and sad to see. I mean, it is good to be passionate, but it is far more important to be focused. They played like we used to play when we were 8, 10 years old. No organization, no positioning, wed just...follow the ball. They started the game as if they were mourning or paying tribute to a player retiring. Anyway, congratulations to The Machine, Germany and Miroslav Klose for his World Cup record. Hes 36, but if I had a choice between him and Fred, Id choose him...Goodbye Brazil, thank you for hosting a wonderful World Cup. Last nights game itself, generated 35.6 million tweets, beating previous record of 24.9m during Super Bowl earlier this year. Todays game? NETHERLANDS vs ARGENTINA: Apparently the Netherlands team only booked Rio Hotel until July 7. It seems even they didnt believe theyd get this far! There are 8 to 10 teams better than we are, was coach Louis van Gaals assessment before the World Cup. Well, theyve made it to the 1/2 and next up is Argentina whom they lost to in 1978 final (3-1), IF the Oranje manage to beat the Albiceleste, then theyll face Germany, who beat them 2-1 in 1974 final. The best player for the Netherlands has been Arjen Robben, hes been impressive. Running with the ball, dribbling constantly, occupying two or three opponents (and creating space for others), although he doesnt always pass the ball. But whenever hes in the box, you can almost smell a penalty, some people nicknamed him: I believe I can fly, because of his tendency to easily lose his balance and fall on the ground to win a penalty. Whether its true or not, Ill let you decide. But he has scored 3 goals, created 15 chances and completed 25 dribbles. Hes important to the Oranje, but not as important as Luis van Gaal, who has made some brave game-changing substitutions. But once again, hell have to be tactically perfect against Argentina. The Albiceleste are a very strange team to me, some of their games were the most boring ones of this World Cup, its like when a beautiful woman or man, is deliberately trying to hide her/his beauty. But yet, when you look closely you see something in them. And youre like: Oh, she/he is actually beautiful. Thats Argentina, they dont play particularly well, but they keep scoring one more goal than the opponents, 3-2, 1-0, 2-1, and now they are in the semi. While Di Maria, Rojo, and Higuain scored important goals, Messi has been their main man, with 4 goals scored, 19 chances created and 29 completed dribbles. I like stats because they never lie. Some people are saying Messi has been average, well, all his goals and assists have helped his team, and you cant help but feel hes about to show why he has won 4 Ballon dOr (golden ball), because great players shine in important games. Just like his idol Maradona did in 1986 World Cup. My head says..., my gut instinct says...hmmm, nothing! Its a 1/2 final, anything can happen :-). We cant wait for the game, hopefully no penalty shoot-out, its so Krul to lose that way. STORY OF THE DAY: The World Cup was particularly good for one Belgium fan. Axelle Despiegelaere, a 17-year-old Belgian student, became one of the go-to fans TV cameras went to during the Belgium matches in Brazil. After her face was beamed around the world and picked up on social media sites, Axelle Despiegelaere was approached by L’Oréal who have since signed her up as a model. We are delighted for you Axelle.
