Sunday, 16th June, 2013. CHARACTER AND DESTINY FULFILLMENT “Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure and whether it be right.” Proverbs. 20:11 Character is one’s total personality, qualities or features; or one’s moral strength or weakness. It can also be described as the special way in which a person thinks, acts, lives and feels. The totality of one’s behavioural pattern is the best way character can be defined. Your attitude determines your altitude in life. Character is everything you are or will become. Signs of a Christian character includes blameless (Phil.2:15), faithful (Rev.17: 14), godly (2Pet. 2:9), holy (Col.3:12), honorable (Pet. 5:5), loving (1 Thess.4:9), lowly [Phil. 7:3-4], meek (Matt 5:5), merciful [Matt. 5:7], obedient (Rom 16:19), pure ( Matt 5:8), sincere (2Cor 1:12), Zealous (Titus 2:14). Character is manifested in decisions; Esau (Gen 25:29-34). Destiny; Judas (John 6:70-71). Desires; Demas (2 Tim 4:10]. Deeds; Saul (1 Sam. 15:1-35) The worst thing that can happen to a Christian is to be out of character. A wise man once said: “it is always self-ignorance that makes a man to act out of character.” You will either be made or marred by the type of character you portray. QUOTE: A man’s attitude is a key factor in determining his altitude in life and destiny. WORD OF PRAYER: Create in me a new heart, and let your refining fire beautify my character to suit your purpose in my life, in Jesus name. Amen.
