A6 Milan took them all the way though with Bonar Maull, James Lee and Ross London? all finding a way past Rob Burton in the Smurfs goal. Ross Fallens (2) and Shaun Semmens scored for the Smurfs. Two missed A6Milan penos in the shootout saw them eliminated as the Smurfs scored every penalty in a 4-2 shootout win. MOM Shaun Semmens The Smurfs Res 1-0 Barn Door Blazers The Blazers gave the Smurfs a much tough challenge than they could have expected with just Ross Fallens second half stopping the game going to a penalty shoot out. Blazers GK Ben Harding excelled as he rose to the occasion quite rightly picking up the MOM accolade. MOM Ben Harding TR7.5 3-4 Green Army A truly bizarre match saw the Green Army pull off the shock of the night. TR7.5 took a first minute lead which they held on to until half-time thanks to Tom Magors soft efort being thrown into the net by Matt Rich. A Green Army substitution saw Paul Riley take over in nets. The change worked straight away as Matt Rich and a Dom Roberts brace saw them lead 3-1. Simon Press reduced the arrears before josh Harrington restored the 2 goal advantage. TR7 created several chances but found Riley in imperious form in goal. Dan Parsonage reduced the arrears in the dying minutes, but Green Army held on for an unexpected place in the last 4 of P6s biggest cup. MOM and Player of the Week - Paul Riley Semi-Finals draws Smurfs vs Smurfs Res Do Daka Chaka vs Green Army P6 Shield Quarter-Finals Men United 0-3 Real Egloshayle Egloshayle cruised through to the semis of the plate thanks in no small part to a brace from Joe Billings Robinson. Jamie Leigh also scored against his former club as Egloshayle booked a semi-final spot against Inter Menan. MOM Joe Robinson Tekkerslavakia 3-2 DC United The return of P6 legend Martin Atkinson for Tekkers saw them produce their best performance in ages as they dumped out high flying DC United Res. Tekkers led 2-0 at the break thanks to a Martin Atkinson brace. The DCs came back through Rikki Clarke and Ben Verrinder who both beat stand in GK Chris Pratt. Damo Cottam scored th e goal that sends Tekkers through to the semis where they will play against the Untouchaballs for a place in the Shield Final. MOM Martin Atkinson. Hurricanes 1-1 Untouchaballs - Untouchaballs win 3-0 on penalties There was little to separate both teams over the course of 30 minutes with the Canes Martin Nile trading goals withJosh Burt of the Untouchaballs. The penalty shoot out was far more one sided as the Canes failed to score a single penalty as they crashed out of the shootout 3-0, leaving the Balls with a future semi-final date against the DCs. MOM Jez Baldwin Inter Menan 4-0 NQY.PL NQY.PL are fast becoming famous for their second half collapses. With the game in the balance at 0-0 at the break, their wretched second half form soon kicked in as Menan went goal crazy bagging 4 quick fire goals through Steve Capeling (2), Nathan Carr Jones and Ben Atherton. MOM Steve Capeling Semi-Final draws Inter Menan - Real Egloshayle Untouchaballs - Tekkerslavakia P6 Plate Quarter-Finals Barcaloner 0-4 Wadebridge Wanderers It was a good nights for the Wadebridge / Egloshayle franchise as both teams reached the semis of 2 different cups. Barcaloner arrived without any of their big name players choosing instead to give youth prodigy Bean aka Ectasy Boy his full debut. Jamie Leigh opened the scoring early on and a Ash Knowlden deflected effort made it 2-0 before the break. 2 further strikes from leigh who completed his hat-trick secured the wadebridge passage to the semis where they will face the might of the Talskiddy treacle Miners for a place in the final. MOM Jamie Leigh DC United 3-2 Fat Dads with Shin Pads After two failed efforts at reaching the semi-finals of the other two cups the DCs managed to scrape a semi-final place in the Plate thanks in no small part to Rikki Clarkes hat-trick. Steve Hunt and Dan Thomas reduced the arrears to 3-2 but they couldnt find the important 3rd to take the game to penalties. The DCs will face the Hurricanes in the semi-finals for a place in the final. MOM Rikki Clarke Talskiddy Treacle Miners 4-1 Mount Wise Rebels Once more the match report from this game comes from the Talskiddy Gazzetto Della Sport Treacle Miners secured entry into the next round of the cup after a tactical masterclass v the continental rebels. Despite being outplayed for most of the game Talskiddy always looked for a quick break and took the lead through Ben Atherton who unleashed a rocket of a free kick into the top corner. Despite the Rebels having numerous chances they failed to test keeper Andy Fagan Scott. Scott was soon providing the assist as he launched a ball forward which boy Taylor ran round the outside of the defender and dispatched past the swinging leg of a keeper. The second half continued with the Rebels dominating the possession and Talskiddy looking dangerous on the break. It was soon 3-0 after a Rebels defender tried to shield the ball from Liam McCormick out of play despite being in a neighbouring countrys distance from the ball and referee Stevie Wonder awarded a free kick. Scott Taylor hit the resulting free kick hard into the net past the keeper. Nomadic defender Middleditch made it 4-0 after bursting from the back to smash home another goal for the Miners. Rebels pulled a late consolation when the keeper/striker let a long ball drop over his shoulder to unleash a dipping volley into the far corner past Fagan who hadnt even flinched. MOM Scott Taylor Hurricanes 1-1 The Burnouts - The Hurricanes win 4-1 on penalties On loan Ben Verrinder gave the Canes an early lead only for twinkle toed Lee Mann to meg one defender, then meg another defender before finally megging the keeper for TRIPLE MEGS to level the scores. Neither team could muster a winner so the game went to a penalty shootout. The Burnouts seemed big favourites with James Woodman in nets vs the Hurricanes technically inferior Chris Pratt. The Canes went first and scored every spot-kick with Lee Mann firing the second Burnout penalty wide before Woodman stepped forwards, uttered the immortal words i will show these boys how its done before firing the lamest penalty in the world straight into the hands of Chris Pratt who didnt need to move thus knocking his team out of the cup. Well played James well played. MOM John Evans Semi-Final Draws Wadebridge Wanderers - Talskiddy Treacle Miners Hurricanes - DC United
