Sunday 8/3/14 Sailing Race Results by Ronaldo Borger The most competitive day . . . 6 Sunfish, 3 Buccs, and Bill and Barbaras Thistle got together for great races. With light winds, the boats nevertheless were moving, with the Buccs completing two races and the Sunfish completing 5 races. With the help of an iPhone, equipped with the Weather Channel app we were able to monitor the storm cloud forming on the south and realized that it was not coming our way, allowing the Sunfish fleet time for a few extra races. The Sunfish fleet had its most competitive day in the season, with boats finishing very close to each other. Axel Anderson and Pierce McCall were tied in first place after 5 races. The Buccs were also close with Dave Yanoff and John Irwin tied in first place (after Bill Perleys Thistle). Weekend and YTD results in the attached files. Mike West leads the Sunfish fleet followed by Axel Anderson and Ronaldo Borger. Jim Irwin leads the Bucc fleet, followed by Dave Yanoff and Dave Mecklenburger. See you next Sunday! Ronaldo & Dave
