Sunday, 9 June 2013 FAVOUR THAT BREAKS PROTOCOLS Esther 4:15-16 then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer, Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day. I also and my maiden will do fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law and if I perish I perish. YOU HAVE A PRICE TO PAY Every good thing in life has a price to pay. If you are looking for small or great favour, then you will pay small or great price to get it. Though we have these things through mercy and favour of God, because if we are charged according to what we received, we may not be able to pay and get what we were made to have. It is the mercy of God, but you have to pay something. In this passage, we have being told about a young woman who was favoured, God lifted her from being just a woman to the position of a queen without paying any price. Sometime we are in the same way being blessed, but in a short while trouble began to spring in from no where. When it comes in this way we look around for whom to blame, that is the time we want to know who is the cause of that problem. This is because of the level of understanding we have. Another thing is because we don’t know that we have to pay a price. Sometime we know that we have to pay the price, but we don’t want to pay that price. Most time we think is always miracle or we think that God is the God of magic, but things does not work that way. HOW TO PAY THE PRICE Genesis 12:1-4 God called Abram and said unto him leave thy people and go to where I will show you. Abram departed. The price was obedient. Is this enough to be a price? I want you to know that prices are differs. And he went through so many trouble (1) He does not know where he was going to (2) He does not know what is ahead of him. The kind of people that he will meet, how to start in a strange land. He paid the price of patient waiting. He was childless and keep trusting in God. He paid the price before the reward. I want us to look at the issue of Jephthah in Judges 11:29-30. Jephthah want God to give him victory over the children of Ammon so that he will rule in Israel and he has to pay a price. That lead him to make a vow unto God of the kind price he will pay. Judges 11:39 he paid the price of victory with his daughter to God. ESTHER PAID THE PRICE Esther 4:16 – Go gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days night or day; I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law and if I perish, I perish. In a palace there are all kinds of foods that you can make a choice of what you want to eat. Sometime you are not even hungry, but the aroma of the food from the kitchen in the palace will open the attraction of your appetite to eat some thing. In spite of all these, she decided to give out everything to pay the price. Many today cannot even pray or fast but want to eat every thing that comes their ways. Yet you want that favour, position and others. I want you to understand that in favour and many other things you are looking for, requires you to be slim in other to go through the tiny road to achieve what you want. Luke 4:4 it is written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. May the Lord favour you as you understand that you must pay a price. Share to Twitter Share to Facebook Tuesday, 23 April 2013 YOU WERE FAVOURED TO FAVOUR SOMEONE Esther 2:17-18 And the King loved Esther more above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of vashti. Then the king made a great feast unto all his princes and his servants, even Esther’s feast, and he made a release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king. Yes you have been celebrated by people of all kind, both great and small for assuming into the new office of favour. As a wife to that family, as a queen/King to that kingdom, as a managing director of that organization, as a Chairman to the community, as a Governor to that state, as a President to that country, as a Pastor to that church, as a Prophet, as a man of God, as an Evangelist, as a woman of God, as a Prophetess, as a Youth, as students leader, as a Lecturer, as a car owner, as a land-lord/land-lady, as a business man or woman and many more. 1. As a wife, is there peace in the family you have entered? Are the people living together? What are you doing to bring peace to that family? Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God” you were made to bring peace if there is none, but if the peace is stolen or you have broken the bow of peace, you must restore that peace. 2. As King or Queen what do you do to bring love to the people you are ruling? Have you made them understand that together they can build a strong community to live in? 3. As a Managing Director, that office was given to you to address the issues affecting the workers especially those that are due for promotion, those that are denied of their rights. 4. As a Chairman, Governor or President, what are you doing to favour the people in the Local Government, in the State and the Country? II Samuel 11:15 King David took Bathsheba the wife of Uriah and sent him to death, and took the only one thing that he has. Are you that kind of a leader? II Samuel 12: 9-12 God was angry with King David and pronounced curses upon him. Do you want a curse or have you been cursed already? But in (verse 13) King David repented and the Lord forgives him. There is still time for you to make amendment. 5. As a Pastor, the church you are now there is conflict among the members, workers, pastors and the G. O., what are you doing to settle that matter? 1 Cor. 3:1-9. 6. As a Prophet/Prophetess, you are a messenger of God, made to pass His message to His people on time, not to waste time and that which the Lord said only and not your own. 7. As an Evangelist, are you doing your work? You are meant to preach the gospel to win souls for God? It is time; you need to save some one that is propel to lost by the devil. 8. As car owner, when driving, you may see someone by the road side stranded looking for help; can you give him or her a ride? He or she may be going the same direction with you that is why the Lord turned you that way to favour him/her. 9. As land-lord or land-lady, you were given that house to accommodate others. I am not saying that you should not get your rent, but know how you do and treat your tenants, knowing fully well that you too are stranger in this world. You are to show someone favor with that house. Is your office not mentioned? Just know that you are favoured into what you are doing to favour some one. You are not just there for yourself, but to favour someone. WHY ARE YOU AT YOUR PRESENT PLACE? Some times you are in a place and you don’t understand why you are in that place, in that office, in that family, in that church, on that road, on that mountain, in that river, born into that family, be in that school, out of school, out of job. Why are you in that situation? Why are you alive at all? Why?..... Are you more significant than others, more handsome, beautiful, more educated, from the best family, the richest, why are you there? Are you the most retched person, from the poorest family or are you the only one who could not go to school or have no food to eat? Lets see our source of the message Esther 4:14 for if thou altogether hold thy peace to this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and they father’s house shall be destroyed; and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? THE REASON WHY YOU ARE THERE God prepared a way for Esther to the Palace to stand in the gap for the people of God, her people Ezekiel 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it. Verse 16 Esther sent to the people of the Jews to join her to pray to God that He will save them from evil. She now understands that for the sake of her people God sent her there. You are not just there for yourself, but for someone around you. Every point, office and situation you find yourself, take it as an opportunity for you to do something for someone around you, help that person he/she needs your help. Remember you were favoured to favour someone. Posted by Moses Onah at 13:55 No comments: Email This BlogThis! Share to Twitter Share to Facebook Friday, 19 April 2013 YOU ARE DESTINED TO BE FAVOURED Esther 1:1-23 sometime in the days of King Ahasuerus in the time of Asia Empire, Persia and Media in India. Something happened that gave way to whom the Lord wanted to favour. Verse 11 the King commanded that the queen Vashti should come and show her beauty to his Kings men. The queen refused to honour the Kings invitation. This act according to the king’s advisers and the lawmaker indicated that it was disobedient, that if they allow it that way, their wives will follow the same way and disrespect them. That she will not continue as a queen and the king divorced the queen. Sometime in the place you live or where you work, it may be in your marriage, business, in your family even in the church, trouble may just start up. I want you to know that trouble is not to destroy you, but to make a way for your favour. In Vs 21 the king gave a command that she (queen) should not have access to see the king any more. But this was a divine plan from God to favour Esther. Like I said if you are faced with some unpleasant situations, that situation is the queen vashti that will soon give way for you to be favoured. A VACANCY FOR FVOUR Esther 2:4 officers were sent out to search for a fair woman. Are you fair? The answer is “YES” because the criteria is not your complexion, but that you are destined to be favoured. You have all it takes to be favoured and you must be favoured. Vs. 9 – Even the keeper of the women saw it on her immediately and could not keep what belong to her. Without delay he realized all that was made for her. Vs. 10 – Esther did not show her people to any one. You don’t need to show up, but what you are is written all over you. Remember is your destiny, you don’t need to take anything with you. Your make-up, colour, certificate, personality, who you know and what you have are not required. Vs. 15 all you need is to remember that you are destined to be favoured. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all, not just one person, but all.
